From Driving School to Health Store
My first business in Ireland was a driving school. That’s where I met a German man who ran a company distributing organic hemp products. He invited me to help introduce them to the Irish market. After diving into the incredible benefits of the hemp plant, I was hooked. I soon found myself travelling across the country, educating and supplying independent health stores.
As the business grew, I needed more space. Instead of just renting a warehouse, I took a leap and opened my first little health store, Hemp & Things. That’s where it all began.
Over the years, I’ve discovered an amazing world of organic and natural products—and, even more importantly, I’ve learned about the tireless work of global farmers and producers. Their passion and dedication continue to inspire me every day.
Why I Do This
To this day, my mission is simple:
To share the vital importance of eating real, nourishing food and to support farmers around the world—without ever entering political debate. My store, and my heart, are neutral. Farmers are the backbone of our food supply, yet they’re often the most overlooked and underappreciated. I want to shine a light on their essential role. If you’ve ever tried to grow your own food, you’ll know just how much work and love it takes.
